Level 3: Planadtarium
In this level, your task is to LEARN HOW ADVERTISERS TARGET THEIR ADS. Targeting means figuring out what types of people might buy a product, making an ad those people will probably like, and then putting the ad where they will probably see it. But how do advertisers make sure their ads reach and appeal to the "right" audience? Continue on to find out. Get aducated!

Level 3: Area 1
The Admosphere
Learn to zero in on your target audience.
You enter a spherical room that’s nearly 10 stories tall and filled with pinpoints of light. It's a weird-looking place, that's for sure, but the strangest thing about it is that there's no gravity. You're in the admosphere, where you will learn about "target audiences."
Advertisers aim their ads at certain people: their "target audience." Each ad is designed to appeal to a target audience. Look at the two ads below. Both are for the same snowboard, but the ads were designed to appeal to different audiences. The ad targeting boys shows the board in action and focuses on performance. The ad targeting girls associates the board with the great outdoors and being popular. Those are the attributes the advertiser thinks each target audience cares most about.
Video of several boys doing exciting tricks and jumps on their snowboards. Fast-paced rock music plays.
Advertisers do research to find out what their target audience likes and doesn't. They talk to them, give them surveys and polls, ask them questions, and try out ideas
