National Consumer Protection Week (NCPW) is March 1 – 7, 2026 

NCPW is a time to talk about frauds, scams, and consumer rights. Help spread the word in your community. Join the FTC and partners in conversation about how to avoid, report, and recover from fraud.

There are many ways to participate in NCPW. Share one of the images below on social media, talk to a neighbor about a recent FTC Consumer Alert, or plan your own virtual or in-person event to celebrate the week.

  • Sign up for Consumer Alerts. Subscribe to learn about the latest scams and get information about NCPW events and resources.
  • Stay connected. Follow the FTC on FacebookX, and Instagram.
  • Bookmark this pageKeep checking back to find free events from the FTC to join.

NCPW Events

All Week 

Tuesday, March 3

  • (In-person event) 10am – 2pm CT: Stop by the Plano Coit Station Post Office at 3400 Coit Road in Plano, TX to pick up free FTC and USPIS resources to help you spot, avoid, and recover from scams and identity theft.
  • 1pm ET/12pm CT/10am PT: Join the FTC, Consumer Action, BBB, and other organizations for a webinar on helping communities spot, avoid, and report top scams.
  • 2pm ET/1pm CT/11am PT: Join the FTC and American Bankers Association Foundation for a webinar about free resources to teach kids about digital literacy, online safety, and financial basics.

Wednesday, March 4

  • 1pm ET/12pm CT/10am PT: Join the FTC and NIST for a webinar on protecting small businesses from scammers and cybersecurity risks.

Thursday, March 5

  • (In-person event) 12pm ET: Join the FTC at the Dumas Center, located at 108 Henry Street NW Roanoke, VA 24016 for a presentation on avoiding tax identity theft.
  • 2pm ET/1pm CT/11am PT: Join the FTC, SEC, SSA, and AARP for a roundtable discussion about the top scams affecting older adults.
