More than 25,000 people are getting a refund check from the FTC as a result of its settlement with the house flipping scheme Zurixx, LLC. If you’re one of them, please cash the check as soon as possible.
Here’s what you need to know:
- The check will come from the refund administrator, JND Legal Administration — you don’t need to file a claim.
- Got questions? Call the refund administrator directly at 888-906-0593.
- Nobody from the FTC will call, email, or text you to demand money or personal information from you. That’s a scam.
- You never have to pay anyone to get a payment from the FTC. That’s a scam.
- To search for active FTC refund programs, verify details of the case, and get the phone number for help, visit www.ftc.gov/refunds.

Remember, anyone claiming you need to pay a fee or share personal information to get a refund from the FTC is a scammer. Report them to the FTC at ReportFraud.ftc.gov.
Good advise because there’s so much to be careful these days especially scammers happen all the time.
The information was very helpful as we have allot of these companies telling people how to earn extra money from buying a house fixing it and sell it very good advice
I fell for the Zurixx scam. Seeing the brochure looked very legit. Not only I, but many people paid thousands of dollars for this course. I am disappointed that we are really not getting a refund of the thousands of dollars we invested, but rather $147.89, only over $11,000 short of the investment. I am glad that they are not scamming people anymore, so, that is a good thing.

I spent over 20K as well. I'm wondering if there's any way we could recover a little more than that.

Why don't we class action lawsuit them? The coaches, the ones who ran it and everyone's name we can get proof of?
If I was expecting over $15,000 from this case (the amount I am owed), why did I just receive a check for only $962.53???????? This is crazy

At least you got over $900. My brother and I paid way more than $15,000 and my check is $133.08
I fell for this scam too, was new to the country and fell in love with real estate industry. Was hoping to get at least half of what I invested, but only got about 1/10 of it.
It's embarrassing to have fallen for this. They were good. All the hype and enthusiasm. Increased the limit on my credit card (didn't have enough in the bank) to buy the most expensive, to get the most "help". HA! Don't worry about the expense, because it will ALL be tax deductible because it's starting a business. Live and learn. $20,000+ an expensive lesson.
Thank you FTC. I didn't even know there was a lawsuit. If I did, I forgot. $133 back is better than nothing. But even better is you've stopped them from hurting others financially. Good work! Thanks again!
I am too embarrassed to admit I was one of the many victims of these scammers! I was very naive and totally new in this sspace. And here I thought I was very cautious! I spent over $20k for the supposedly private coaching. I got back 1/10th of it. I am just glad these scammers had some kind of consequence, but more importantly, stopped these people from scamming others.
Yes, we were promised a lot, invested $20,000, and after months of trying to figure out the system and apply it (without the coaching help we were promised) we found out through the grapevine that their system for REI "wouldn't work in our area". Bummer. We'd have to re-locate to a metropolitan area to really make a go of it. Funny they didn't mention that until way after we signed on the dotted line. We ended up filing for bankruptcy later that year after a bad house flip attempt, with all of this REI debt on top of it. Good learning experience. Grateful that the FTC is handling this at last.
