National Consumer Protection Week (NCPW) 2019 is just around the corner. This year, NCPW is March 3 – 9, 2019. That’s just about a month away, so now is the time to jump into planning.
During NCPW, government agencies and consumer protection groups band together to help people understand their consumer rights and make well-informed decisions about money. Want to join in? Here are some ideas:
- Protect family, friends and your community from scams. Order free materials to hand out in English or Spanish. Order by February 4th to ensure delivery by NCPW.
- Visit FTC.gov/ncpw. You’ll find a list of helpful tips and resources.
- Plan a consumer protection event in your community. FTC.gov/ncpw has a toolkit to help you get involved.
- Reach out to the military community. Our Military Consumer Toolkit can help get you started.
We’ll be back next month to tell you more about the events we have planned for NCPW. See you then!

Free material is always available from the FTC. You can order whenever it is convenient for you. We suggest you order by February 4 so your order will get processed and mailed out to you by the first week in March.
Go to www.FTC.gov/Bulkorder year-round to order free material in English and Spanish. It will be shipped to your door, for free!
