Free COVID test kits are back: Here’s how to get yours

Starting November 20, every U.S. household can again place an order to receive four more free COVID-19 rapid tests delivered directly to their home. If you didn’t order tests since the program reopened in September, the site will let you place two orders for a total of eight tests. Order your test kits through COVID.gov. Orders will ship free starting the week of November 27, 2023.
The kits will include instructions on how to verify extended expiration dates. Many kits have had their expiration dates extended beyond what may be printed on the packaging.
You don’t have to pay for shipping, and you’ll never be asked for a credit card or bank account number. You only need to give a name and shipping address. If you’d like an email confirmation and delivery updates from the U.S. Postal Service, you can submit your email address. Anyone who asks for more information than that is a scammer. So, remember:
- Only go to COVID.gov to order your free test kits from the federal government. When you click to order, you’ll be redirected to special.usps.com/testkits. If you’re following a link from a news story, double-check the URL that shows in your browser’s address bar.
- No one will call, text, or email you from the federal government to ask for your information to “help” you order free kits. Don’t give out your credit card, bank account, or Social Security number. Do not respond. Instead, report it to the FTC at ReportFraud.ftc.gov.

I ordered my free test kits in November and was approved and given an order number...Was contacted by USPS to verify order, but never received the test kits...I am a stage 4 cancer patient and testing when not feeling well is important... I have had Covid 3 or 4 times...
" If you didn’t order tests since the program reopened in September, the site will let you place two orders for a total of eight tests." information above says if this is the first time I'm requesting covid tests since the program reopened in September that I could place two orders for a total of eight tests. When I tried to place a second order I received a message that the second order could not be filled because I already had 4 test coming to that address.
How do I get the second order entered?

thank you for being not just proactive, but intuitive as well.
I live in an inlaw apt. that I rent. I ordered my test kits. When the residents of the main house ordered their kits, they received a message saying their test kit request was declined, as too many kits requested from their address. They are a separate family with kids and could use the tests, too. Please advise.

I feel the government should allow you to get more test more often. What if there is more in the family then just 2 and what if you are required to test more often. It isn't our fault that the government brought this stuff on. If they won't allow it then the test you buy should be a lot cheaper. People can't afford it and so they just don't test and we will just continue to spread this stuff and never get back to a life we used to have.

I received my free Covid test kits, but the first one I opened only had one of the home test panels in it. Two swabs, two vile tubes two caps, but only one home test kit which is the thing you put the three drops of liquid into. Can I get a replacement?

So how I ended up getting involved with a life protect 24/7 monitoring system I never asked for. Out of the blue I was called to say I ordered it: they had my name and address, were emphatic that I ordered the system, and they needed my credit card to pay the monthly fee. This all coincided within 48 after ordering the Covid kits. I called the company to cancel, and they claim they will send a “return kit” in 4-7 days. Under BBB there was a comment that this happened to someone else. Do I need to cancel my credit card? BBB lists them as a 10 year business

Every iHealth brand test BOX I have opened for the past 6 boxes have only had enough solution (“extraction liquid”) between the two little sealed solution plastics for ONE TEST. Our government is getting cheated by paying for two tests when we can only complete ONE PER BOX.
