The FTC sued the makers of Suboxone®, a prescription drug to treat opioid addiction, alleging they were preventing patients from choosing lower priced generic versions of the drug. The companies agreed to pay $60 million to consumers to settle the FTC charges.

That means if you got a prescription for Suboxone® film in the United States between March 1, 2013 and February 28, 2019, you may be eligible for a payment.Suboxone film

The FTC did not have the individual contact information for patients taking Suboxone. To make people aware of the Suboxone settlement claims process, the FTC issued a press release on July 24, 2020, and published a blog post on July 30, 2020. The agency also paid for advertisements online, in print media, and on the radio. In addition, the agency sent notice to prescribing doctors all over the country. If you believe you are eligible for a payment from this settlement but did not file a claim, you can call 1-877-545-0238 to be placed on a waiting list. If there are funds available after the first distribution is complete, we will contact you with information about how to receive a payment.

I submitted the claim form prior to the December 2020 deadline but have not received any information since. How can I find out if my claim was accepted and if/when I will receive a payment and where it will be sent since I was living in Florida from 2013-2019 and now live in PA.

I received a disbursement which for whatever reason is more than I expected, and more than I put in for in my claim. I Given however that suboxone has ruined my teeth, my life, as it is singularity impossible to come off of, how would it be possible to even rectify the situation now anyhow. They would owe far more than this anyways. I don't know what to do.

I just found a check, yesterday, from Suboxone....that I wasn't expecting. I remember accidentally coming across this lawsuit about a year ago, but I was never notified either. I almost threw mine away. I had months of mail in scattered piles, and quickly went through in. I nearly trashed it, but curiosity had me open it instead.

I'm wondering when they will start sending these checks out, and how much I should expect. I'm prescribed 60 a month and have been on them since 2012. By my calculations I should be looking at around $14,000. Has anyone else inquired about when and how much the checks will be?

I think it all depends on how many people file. I mean if 100000 people file your not looking at much money at all.. and iam wondering if you still get reimbursed if your insurance covered it whole time or is the money going out to people only who paid out of pocket?? Not sure

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I don't think you'll be getting the $14,000. you're hoping for. The FTC website has been updated. Checks & debit cards started being mailed out 5/10/2021. The amount of payment is supposed to be $35.61 for each month you were prescribed Suboxone during the time frame of the case. You can read all the details for yourself. I was on Suboxone the entire 72 month time frame & my calculations came to $2,563. but until I'm actually holding the check, I'm not going to count on it. Hope this helped answer your question. Have a blessed day.

Hello. I received my check today (May 16 2021) and it's quite sizeable. You can calculate your payment by taking the amount of RX's you filled for SUBOXONE Film (Brand) between March 2013 and February 2019 and multiplying it my #35.91 - the amount paid out for each script. If you don't know for sure you cn make a reasonable assumtion you have one per month, however with dose changes and ability to fill on the 28th day then a few more were squeezed into mine. These refund/class action checks are typicaly like $3 in the end and I swear I almost pitched this check with the rest of my junk mail today. Curiosity got the best of me and I'm grateful it did cuz I woulda tossed $890.25! All the best to you.
