If you’re a servicemember who signed up for an in-store financing plan through Harris Jewelry and paid for an add-on protection plan, listen up. The court reopened the Harris claims process. If you haven’t already applied for a refund or haven’t heard back from Harris yet, now’s the time to apply. Bottom line: Don’t wait.
The FTC and eighteen states sued Harris Jewelry in 2022 over its financing and sales practices and the company agreed to refund servicemembers for add-on protection plans. If you purchased a Lifetime Jewelry or Watch Protection Plan, you can still get a full refund for it — but you’ll need to file for a refund right away. Here’s how:
- Go to Harris’s website at www.harrisjewelry.com. Click “Apply for a Refund” and enter your name and contact information. Filing anywhere else is a scam.
- Apply right away. The reopened refund site will only be active until Saturday, December 21, 2024.
- Don’t wait for an email from Harris Jewelry saying you’re eligible for a refund: time is short.
- For questions, contact the New York State Attorney General’s Office at (315) 523-6080.
